Mildmay Hospital

Meet representatives from Mildmay Hospital, the namesake of the Mildmay Overground Line from Stratford to Clapham Junction and Richmond. The new line name pays tribute to and recognise the work of Mildmay Hospital’s 160-year legacy of caring for Londoners, including its pioneering HIV/AIDS care and treatment in the 1980s - championed by Princess Diana.

Hear from Mildmay hospital representatives about the pioneering work they do in London and across the globe, and why the renaming of the Overgound line is so important to them, raising awareness of the hospital and firmly cementing their contribution to London’s rich history and heritage.

Mildmay is Europe’s leading charitable hospital for complex HIV-related conditions, also offering ground-breaking clinical support for people who are homeless, including post-detox recovery, and specialist rehabilitation.
